As before, the initial stopping point of the route will be Panaji port and ferry terminal (Ferry Wharf, Bhaucha Dhakka) and port Mazagaon (Mazagaon) in Mumbai. Intermediate port : Raigad (Raigad), Malvan (Malvan), Ratnagiri (Ratnagiri) and Vengurla (Vengurla).
Currently there are air and ground posts between the two capitals. Several years ago, Daman and other operators have attempted to run a regular catamaran line, but it is not in great demand among passengers due to heavy pitching. Now working catamarans route operator Blue Ocean Cruises, catering mainly to tourists and sells tickets from 13,000 rupees (about 155€). While the price of a steamship transportation should be on par with the railway prices.
To project an active interest there are now other known shipping companies and operators. Already issued tenders for engineering and technical support for the project and the supply of swimming facilities. Steamboats Konkan Shakti (Konkan Shakti) and Konkan Sevak (Konkan Sevak), who operated the route in the past, after a last trip in 1991 while serving in the naval forces of Sri Lanka.
