Holidays and recreation in Anjuna city resort

Anjuna has an image as the capital of hippies. This place can be called the arena of non-stop trance parties. That’s why it attracts mainly people of the artistic spirit and informal lifestyle. Lots of different parties with loud music and crowds of people are happening in this Goa resort. The district near the Flea Market is a very noisy place, but in the village you can still find lots of quiet places where the life flows slowly.

The most favorable season for holidays at Anjuna Beach resort is from November till March, because during the other months the weather here is not suitable for swimming in warm tender ocean waters and sunbathing. The climate in Anjuna is humid, which is actually characteristic for the most parts of the Indian seashore.

Beaches in the southern part of Anjuna resort are sandy, while in the northern part they are rocky — just like the sea bottom. The most suitable place for swimming and sunbathing is situated near the Curlies Beach resort. You can rent some equipment for water sports activities.

The touristic infrastructure is well developed. The whole range of resort services is available. Along the beach there is a range of shacks and restaurants which offer a wide choice of food and drinks. In some of them you can even feel like a Roman, lying on sofas, drinking and admiring the beauty of the Goa beach. Nearby you can find a row of numerous shops where you can buy clothes, shoes, souvenirs, leather, fashion, jewelry and kitchen stuff.

European tourists in their reviews about the resort usually point out onto the fact that Anjuna resort doesn’t have many of local Indian tourists in its party places. They also mark the cozy local restaurants with amazingly tasty cuisines. Chaikovsky, Sunset, Herbal Café and German Bakery restaurants are recommended as the best.

The prices in Anjuna resort are considered to be lower than the average in Goa. The resort offers medium class apartments, but there are also luxury and well-equipped villas, apartments and inns. The most expensive inns are Yogamagic Eco Retreat Resort Hotel and Lotus Inn Hotel. The room here will cost you 5.000 USD per day minimum!
