Goa Villa video blog & reviews
|Why people love Goa? - we asked this question Indian tourists on the beach. So, look to know the answer!||
Varca Beach is located in South Goa, adjacent to the more famous Benaulim and Cavelossim Beach resorts. Dabolim Airport, the only one international airport of Goa, is located in about 30km from Varca Beach.
Near the Airport exit you will find the parking point of pre-paid public taxi. The prices are varies from 630 rupees to 735 rupees depending on the availability of air-conditioning in the car.
The cheaper variant to reach Varca Beach is to take a train or a bus. Unfortunately there are no direct railway and bus lines to Varca resort: first you will need to get to Vasco da Gama municipal station (the distance from Dabolim Airport to Vasco da Gama city is about 4 km) by bass shuttle services usage. Then you should take a train or a bus to Margao — the largest city in the region (the distance from Margao to Varca is about 26 km and will cost you about 20 rupees).
The distance between Varca Beach resort and the nearest Madgaon railway station in the City of Margao is about 10 km. You can continue your way to the resort by a taxi (it will cost you about 200 rupees) or by a bus (about 6 rupees). Buses are starting their way from KTC Bus Stand, which you can find at the railway station. Unfortunately the bus will not bring you directly to the beach itself but it stops just few minutes walking from it, on the main road. You can take a rickshaw there (if you would have such a wish) which will cost you about 30 rupees, or walk a little bit enjoying the surrounding sightseeing. Considering that buses are running here only during the day, the peak hours are: in the morning from 7:00 till 9:00 and in the evening from 17:00 till 19:00.
If you are planning to reach Varca Beach resort on your own transportation or by car then you should drive NH17B Colva Road Highway. GPS coordinates: 15°16’32» N, 73°55’00»E / 15.221459°N, 73.930264°E.
The transport connection between inhabited locality (towns, cities, villages) and beaches in the region are provided by public buses, taxi and auto-rickshaws. Also you can always take a scooter, car, bicycles or boat for rent.
